I bought maseca, which is like corn flower that you use to make tortillas. I am getting better at making them but they are still a little off figuring that all i have to use is a sketchy little electric stove and rock salt. which reminds me, mom when you send that package of stuff you should throw in a container of hot salt. Anyways to make the tortillas you have to squish them down really thin and since that is really hard by hand i stick a ball of dough in a plastic bag and then grab a bucket and squish it. It works pretty well. I think if i get fat down here it will be because of the tortillas. they eat tortillas with every meal. they are good but they sneak up on you, before you know it you´ve eaten like 6 or 7, because you use them to wipe your plate clean and stuff. sometimes they don´t even use utencils, they just use a tortilla to pick up the food off their plate and then eat it like that. So far i haven´t eaten anything too weird cause i am in a city, but i have heard that they eat some pretty discusting stuff in the little pueblos.
